Around The Club — Happy New Year! With exception to the last several days, the first few weeks of winter have been brutal. With a little luck, the temperatures will remain the same while the rain stays away, and we can enjoy a little golf as we turn the page to a new year.
On behalf of the staff, I would like to thank all who donated to the Employee Holiday Fund. Your generosity is overwhelming and very much appreciated. We were able to provide our entire staff with a well well-deserved bonus during a time of the year when things can become a little tight.
In looking back over the last year, we would like to express how proud we are of the effort put in by our maintenance crew, which is constantly finding ways to provide outstanding conditions and a club we can all take great pride in calling home. Speaking of our maintenance staff, we are excited to announce that we have hired a new superintendent. Travis Brown, who has been serving as the Senior Assistant Superintendent at The Cliffs Vineyard Club for the last 9 years, will officially join our staff on January 9th.
Speaking of this past year, we far exceeded our projected growth in overall membership. As indicated in our last couple of newsletters, our membership is full, with close to a dozen on a waiting list to join.
